In support of community outreach and creative craftsmanship, the VA Symposium will host a Wig Stand Turning Competition open to all participating woodturning clubs and attendees.

There will be a prize for the club that donates the most wig stands to the charity of their choice and a prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

Simply take a picture of the total wig stands donated and bring it to the symposium for the club prize and/or bring a completed stand to enter.

Each club may submit up to three (3) and individuals may submit one (1) handcrafted wig stands for judging. Entries will be evaluated on craftsmanship, design, creativity, and overall presentation.

 Awards will be given for:

    •    1st Place

    •    2nd Place

    •    3rd Place

This competition is more than skill—it’s about turning compassion into form and creating pieces that help restore dignity and confidence for wig recipients.

Let your club’s creativity shine while supporting a meaningful cause.

All submitted wig stands will be donated following the competition to support individuals experiencing medical hair loss.
